1969 Martin D-28 with original Hard Case

1969 Martin D-28 with original Hard Case
If you’re a Guitar Hunter, this is the kind of guitar everyone wants to find. A beautiful, well kept, Brazilian Rosewood Martin dread.
This is Lewis, named for it’s owner for the last couple decades. Lewis is a 1969 Martin D-28 with Brazilian Rosewood. This guitar is in excellent shape with minimal play wear including light pick scratches on the top and a few capo marks/wear marks on the back of the neck. It sounds boomy and clear, very articulate and has tons of note separation.
Service Records:
Neck Reset
Kept the original saddle and added a maple shim that is glued and shaped to the bottom of the saddle
Fret Level and Polish: original frets have tons of life. This was a strummer, not a heavy handed bluegrass guitar.
Condition:
No Cracks
No excessive wear
Great action
No buzzing or dead frets
Why am I selling this guitar?
I’m a Hunter more than a collector. This guitar is so special someone needs to own it forever. My passions over the last few years have been focused on boutique and handbuilt guitars from small builders. I’m not a big bluegrass guitar player and this is the kind of guitar that frequently gets the “take the lead” head nod that stresses me out. I’m more comfortable behind my Country Western or mahogany guitars.
This guitar and the story behind it are so meaningful. Let’s find a way to make this guitar yours.
