Don’t Risk Choosing the Wrong Guitar
You can build a collection that matters.
Endless choices leave you confused
Feeling lost without expert guidance.
Struggling to create a cohesive collection.
Passion becomes frustration instead of joy.
Fear of wasting money on the wrong guitar.
Missing out on acquiring quality instruments.
Time-consuming search for the right fit.
Legacy of poor purchases lingers on.
Jeremy Sheppard is the voice behind Jeremy the Guitar Hunter, a guide for players who want to buy guitars wisely and live with them well.
Jeremy didn’t come to guitars chasing status or gear for its own sake. After a heart condition ended his involvement in sports, the guitar became a place of refuge, expression, and discovery. In those quiet, private moments, he learned what many players eventually learn the hard way: the right guitar disappears in your hands, and the wrong one never quite gets out of the way.
Over the years, Jeremy has bought, sold, repaired, reviewed, and lived with thousands of guitars, from beginner instruments to vintage icons and boutique builds. He’s also made costly mistakes, including spending thousands of dollars on guitars that felt wrong the moment they were played. Those experiences shaped his conviction that expensive guitars aren’t rare, but truly valuable guitars are.
Through his YouTube channel, consulting, and writing, Jeremy has helped thousands of players learn how to listen, how to choose, and how to trust their own ears and hands. His approach isn’t driven by specs, hype, or brand loyalty, but by fit, balance, and long-term usefulness.
Jeremy is best known for helping people move from uncertainty to clarity. Instead of chasing the next guitar, he teaches players how to recognize the ones that matter, build small and meaningful collections, and avoid the churn that steals joy from making music.
At the heart of his work is a simple ethos: guitars are meant to be played, shared, and lived with. The goal isn’t more guitars. It’s better music, deeper connection, and a life filled with music and friendship.

You Need Someone Who Knows Their Stuff
You Need Someone Who Knows Their Gear
Over the last 19 years I’ve bought and sold thousands of guitars. During that time, as I’ve played in bands and at churches, I’ve always been asked to help people find guitars and gear that will help them play better and have killer tone. In 2017 I bought a 1964 Martin 000-28 and looked up, “how to buy vintage guitars” on YouTube and couldn’t find anything. That’s when I decided to help people become Guitar Hunters by sharing some of the tips, tricks and experiences I’ve had buying and selling guitars.
